As of 1 October 2012, Axesor is the first Spanish Rating Agency, registered and regulated by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the only competent regulatory body in Europe, and complying with Regulation (EC) No 1060/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 September 2009 on credit rating agencies.
Objectivity and independence
The credit ratings issued are are not affected by interest groups. Axesor accepts and applies the IOSCO code of conduct (International Organization of Securities Commissions) of Credit Rating Agencies, adhering to strict policies for the prevention of conflicts of interest.
Axesor has had all the public information on Spanish mercantile companies since 1990. This information is subject to multiple and rigorous quality controls
Subsequently, by means of sophisticated risk models, Axesor is able to obtain a rating with a high capacity to predict the default or insolvency of the qualified entities.
The rating mechanisms and methodology comply with all regulatory requirements and can be consulted through Axesor Rating's corporate website, so that all users maintain a high level of confidence in them.
